The trip from Tegna to Assisi was eventless. Around Milano plenty of traffic. When we got to Santa Maria degli Angeli, Lesley managed to navigate to a little supermarket where we stocked up on supplies for dinner.

The trip past Assisi to the cooking school was a bit like a goat track, but Lesley managed to navigate me without any problems using Letizia's instructions. We were greeted warmly at Alla Madonna del Piatto by Ruud and Letizia. A lovely spot up the mountain overlooking the valley and Assisi.

When we arrived the heavens opened up and they had their first good rain in weeks. But it cleared quickly.

The house itself has been lovingly restored and is very comfortable. Very nice antique furniture in all the rooms. We had a lovely evening eating cold meats, cheeses and bread.
